Job Summary As part of the PayPal Ads team in London, the UK Merchant Ads Sales Manager will develop strong relationships with new customers, convert leads with account management teams, onboard partners to our PayPal Offers platform, and shape the future of PayPal Ads.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead functional projects and programs, ensuring alignment with business trends.
Identify issues and recommend best practices to improve processes.
Partner with various teams to analyze and understand business trends.
Contribute to business or process improvements within the function.
Develop strategies to enhance product sales and customer satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities & Your Way to Impact Drive sales, increase market share, and demonstrate true ROI on merchants’ investments. Use data‑driven insights and a consultative sales approach to create compelling pitches that drive results. Focus on building relationships with new customers, leveraging leads from account management teams, and collaborating with the product team to onboard them to our PayPal Offers platform. We seek candidates with a proven track record of launching and growing ad platforms for merchant customers.
In Your Day‑to‑Day You Will
Leverage your experience and connections in sales to exceed revenue targets.
Prospect, pitch, and close deals from your book of business.
Work cross‑functionally with AdOps, Sales, Marketing, and other important teams.
Generate a pipeline across key brand verticals including Retail, Home & Garden, Beauty, Travel, Electronics, Groceries and Dining.
Build effective and long‑lasting relationships with brand‑side stakeholders at director+/VP levels, becoming a trusted advisor.
What You Need To Succeed
Digital advertising performance focused sales, or offers sales, or affiliate sales with 6+ years of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
Card‑linked offer sales/management preferred.
Identifying and growing new business by developing long‑term strategic partnerships.
Leveraging CRM tools to create and manage a pipeline that is consistently updated and accurate.
Data‑driven selling; comfortable with business and media performance metrics.
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills to influence decisions across the organization.
Work with cross‑functional PayPal Ads teams to provide product performance feedback and identify areas for development.
Leverage PayPal’s existing merchant relationships; collaborate with merchant‑facing teams to grow merchants’ businesses and drive PayPal transaction volume.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
