Overview
Location: Bishop’s Stortford (on-site with UK travel) Company: Shadow Industrial Heating Solutions Shadow Industrial Heating Solutions designs and manufactures specialist infrared heating systems for industrial, commercial, and ecclesiastical buildings. Our products range from powerful solutions for factories and warehouses to bespoke Shadow Chandelier heaters for churches and cathedrals. We are also launching a new range of intelligent digital controls, giving clients greater efficiency and flexibility. Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Sales Professional with experience in solution or system selling to join our team. This is a client-facing role, focused on building relationships, understanding customer challenges, and designing the right heating solutions. The role offers excellent long-term prospects for growth as the business expands. We presently have more sales leads than we can easily deal with and this will continue to grow as our product base is being constantly innovated and expanded, including our own unique in-house designed digital control systems. Key Responsibilities
Proactively generate and develop new business opportunities across industrial and ecclesiastical sectors. Manage leads and sales opportunities to develop maximum sales potential. Engage with architects, consultants, facilities managers, dioceses, and contractors to understand project needs. Sell complete heating systems and solutions (rather than just products). Conduct site visits and surveys, providing technical input into proposals. Prepare and deliver professional presentations, quotations, and tenders. Work closely with the marketing team to follow up leads and turn them into projects. Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to build networks. Maintain accurate CRM records and report on sales pipeline and results. Skills & Experience
Proven experience in solution or system selling (building services, HVAC, controls, or technical products preferred). Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to understand technical products and explain them in a clear, client-friendly way. Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve results. Organised, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK. Knowledge of industrial heating, building services, or energy-efficient technologies. Familiarity with tender processes and long sales cycles. CRM and pipeline management skills. What We Offer
Competitive salary + commission package. Base salary from £60 - £80,000 depending upon experience. Company car and travel expenses. A hands-on role with clear opportunity to grow into a senior position. Supportive, collaborative team environment at our Bishop’s Stortford HQ. Seniority level
