Senior Business Analyst – Alliance Healthcare
This role is part of Cencora’s wholesale distribution services in Europe, operating through our Alliance Healthcare business. The Senior Business Analyst will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring technology solutions align with business needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities
Engage in the early scoping phase of new projects, gathering high‑level requirements and business benefits to shape the solution and inform the business case.
Plan for and facilitate structured requirements workshops with the business to elicit and document requirements.
Actively engage with solution architects, product leads, and technical teams to document functional requirements and support product delivery.
Translate business requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories with detailed acceptance criteria in a requirement management tool, tracking and baselining requirements.
Ensure all deliveries across project and product teams are driven by baselined user stories and that the customer has understood and accepted the documented requirements.
Develop and maintain As‑Is and To‑Be process flow diagrams, story‑mapping diagrams, wireframes, and other documentation to support project objectives and stakeholder communication.
Support system testing efforts by defining detailed acceptance criteria, validating test cases, and ensuring alignment with business and functional requirements.
Support business acceptance by drafting UAT plans and coordinating the user acceptance testing phase.
Enable business rollout by drafting training material and conducting user training when required.
Continuously develop personal and technical skills to deliver high‑quality services for business analysis.
Enhance the IT team’s service delivery through active participation and improvement initiatives.
Produce all relevant documentation to agreed AHUK standards for the service, ensuring structured management of all processes and technical information.
Share expertise with the Business Analyst team and contribute to the BA Centre of Excellence.
Ensure all work is a supported service within an agreed SLA or part of an approved project sanctioned by a product team.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent.
Preference for International Diploma in Business Analysis (BCS) or CBAP (IIBA) certifications (or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in a Senior Business Analyst role.
Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment within IT, with preference for Scaled Agile Framework certifications.
Experience in Pharmaceutical Distribution, Logistics Operations, Transport, or Supply Chain is advantageous.
Prior experience with Microlise, Manhattan Active, or Knapp applications is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage conflict and build successful relationships across stakeholder groups.
Adaptable and flexible, thriving in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and embracing change.
Excellent multitasking skills and ability to prioritize work across multiple projects.
Experience facilitating workshops, meetings, and Agile ceremonies to drive alignment and decision‑making.
Experience delivering technical solutions based on user stories and business requirements in a small team.
Expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation, focused on delivering business‑focussed technical solutions to agreed and tested standards.
Strong experience delivering Epics, Features, and User Stories with detailed acceptance criteria, flow diagrams, wireframes, and data diagrams for mobile and desktop applications.
In‑depth knowledge of Agile principles, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Experience working in a challenging and complex global, matrix‑based organisation.
Experience managing suppliers to ensure specified SLAs are met.
Willingness to travel to other Alliance Healthcare UK service centres on a monthly basis.
