About The Role We are growing our electrical division to meet the ever‑increasing needs of our expanding business. We are looking for a Mobile Electrician to work within our team in the Chandlers Ford area.
In this role you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment between branches and customer sites across the south region in a safe, professional and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have practical electrical engineering skills and experience.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with an on‑call rota that may vary depending on business needs.
Essential Qualifications Applicants must hold an ECS Gold Card or have the relevant qualifications/experience to obtain an ECS Gold Card.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical installation work efficiently in accordance with current I.E.E. Regulations for Electrical Installations and Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
Maintain, install, service and repair electrical/mechanical pump sets within the hire fleet and any customer units to required legislative standards.
Produce reports and estimates for repair set units and advise on safety issues as necessary.
Maintain high housekeeping standards, keeping work areas and vehicles clean and orderly.
Adhere to all required Risk Assessment/Method Statements.
Communicate regularly and effectively with your manager and all internal and external customers and stakeholders regarding business and customer expectations on timelines, quality and overall service levels.
Work independently, managing own workload and call‑outs as a self‑driven engineer.
Attend call‑outs for the branch as part of a call‑out rota (1 in 6 weeks).
Qualifications
JIB qualified electrician, eligible to obtain an ECS Gold Card (18th edition).
Full UK driving licence (company van provided).
