The Role As our
UX/Design Engineer , you’ll be the craft owner behind the product surfaces, systems, and interactions that bring Conveo to life.
This is a hybrid
Design × Front-End Engineering
role:
you design with exceptional taste, and you build enough to make ideas real, components, prototypes, states, flows, and production-ready logic in a modern FE stack.
Your mission:
craft intuitive, high-performance interfaces that make advanced AI research feel simple, elegant, and magical.
Your Mission 1. Design world-class product interfaces
Own high-fidelity UI, interaction design, and complex workflow design.
Prototype quickly in Figma and code to validate flows, edge cases, and system behaviors.
Shape the end-to-end look and feel of core product experiences.
2. Build with engineers, not just hand off
Implement or refine UI components directly in the codebase (React/TS or similar).
Collaborate with engineers on state management, interactions, and logic.
Ensure that what ships matches the intended quality, polish, and usability.
3. Own the design system + component library
Evolve our product-wide design system: tokens, components, documentation.
Create reusable patterns that accelerate engineering velocity and consistency.
Keep the system aligned with real-world engineering constraints.
4. Make complex AI workflows feel simple
Design clean, scalable visualizations for large datasets and AI outputs.
Structure information architecture, transitions, and state models that reduce cognitive load.
Translate complexity into clarity, without hiding power.
5. Operate with autonomy, speed & excellence
Own multiple product surfaces at once, shipping fast without compromising craft.
Work as an embedded partner with engineering, participating in architecture and product discussions.
Raise the bar of what “beautiful, functional software” means across the company.
What We're Looking For An
experienced hybrid designer–engineer :
You bring:
Strong product design fundamentals (UI, UX, IA, workflows).
Ability to implement UI components in modern front-end frameworks.
Deep intuition for interaction patterns and user mental models.
Experience designing and maintaining design systems.
Comfort inside engineering environments (GitHub, PRs, component architectures).
A portfolio that shows both polish and product/technical thinking.
Mindset
Designer at heart, engineer by necessity — and you enjoy both.
Bias for building: you prototype in code because it’s faster and clearer.
Systems thinker: you create patterns, not fragments.
Loves fast-paced, high-ownership environments.
Obsessed with clarity, quality, and reducing complexity.
Utilises AI tools to accelerate iteration and implementation.
