Location:
This role involves hybrid working with time in the Nottingham office, at delivery locations (throughout the East Midlands and in Sheffield) and remote working.
Hours:
Full‑time, 9‑5 Monday to Friday, occasional weekend and evening work to support night and weekend shifts. (Flexible working can be considered).
Main Job Purpose To operate as a key player within the Learning and Development team, supporting all pillars of the organisation (accommodation, health, employability and support & care), to strengthen the capability of the workforce, which includes central service functions and operational teams, by ensuring that all learning and development content for employees is current, relevant, impactful and of high quality.
Main Job Duties And Responsibilities
Creating new content for courses and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) resources.
Reviewing existing content.
Ensuring live curation of course and resource giving consideration to content and current good practice and relevance.
Sourcing relevant external courses and resources with commercial awareness.
Evaluating effectiveness of courses and resource content and its application into practice.
Demonstrating a hands‑on approach in an end‑to‑end process – from design to implementation including training needs analysis, designing phase, trialling, through to supporting handover to delivery team, delivery implementation and implementation of assurance monitoring.
Working with existing team members, key people in the organisation and third‑party suppliers to co‑create new content and update existing content of courses and resources.
Maintaining learning needs analysis and be able to continually understand and respond to current and emerging organisational needs.
General Responsibilities
Understand learning needs of the organisation linked to all pillars of the organisation including central services.
Maintain learning needs analysis and be able to appropriately respond to current and emerging organisational needs.
Curate all learning content to ensure relevance and ease of learner access.
Analyse organisational learning needs to inform required courses and resources.
Design, create, trial and implement new content, and review and update for improvement.
Review existing content of courses and resources and continually update accordingly.
Keep aware and up to date of developments in learning and development practices and technologies to inform internal delivery and communication.
Source relevant external courses and resources with commercial awareness.
Facilitate learning content acquisition through sessions, briefing and courses.
Role model delivery and facilitation to enable the team members to deliver content, including observing peers and giving feedback on delivery of the design.
Work closely with existing team members to ensure the team responds to organisational need.
Collaborate with third‑party suppliers to co‑create new content and update existing content of courses and resources.
Ensure required tools and equipment are available and fit for purpose for delivery.
Promote access to and communicate about current and new learning opportunities, helping audiences understand the relevance to them.
