is one of the UK’s leading steel stockholders, supplying mild steel tube for piling, industrial doors and general engineering. We offer a comprehensive stockholding and nationwide delivery service and are looking for a proactive account manager to join our tight‑knit sales team based in Aldridge.
Account Manager Role
Provide a friendly, accurate and professional service at all times.
Perform detailed contract review and accurately interpret customer requirements.
Accurately enter sales orders into the ERP system.
Develop existing territory by improving revenue and profit generated.
Source and develop opportunities that result in new repeat business.
Focus 70/30 between account management and business development.
Maintain accurate records within a CRM system.
Research new markets and compile lists of prospects.
Achieve KPIs as agreed with the managing director.
Support the sales effort in line with overall business objectives.
Essential
Natural communicator, able to build rapport and create lasting customer relationships over the phone.
Strong numeracy with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Determined, persistent, positive and self‑motivated.
Quick learner, logical thinker, well organised.
At least 2 years of account management experience, ideally in a B2B role using CRM software.
Strong IT skills – Office 365 (Outlook/Excel/Word).
Desirable
Experience in engineering, construction or metals.
