Job Summary Venatu Recruitment is proud to announce that a new client of ours, specialists within the Fire Protection industry, is now looking for a Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer to join them as soon as possible. The company has been trading for almost 40 years, delivering high‑quality fire protection & sprinkler services including design, fabrication, installation and commissioning for residential, commercial and industrial applications. They are a leading figure in the industry with a reputation for being the best in the business.
This is a full‑time role paying £70k plus a company car.
Key requirements include a full understanding of BS EN 12845 (NFPA & FM Global beneficial) and the ability to problem‑solve and resolve issues that occur on a daily basis.
Job Duties
Ensure clients/insurers requirements are adhered to at all times.
Work closely with the project team to ensure designs are completed on time and to technical submission standards.
Be involved in drawing and calculations to ensure compliance within the relevant fire sprinkler system standards.
Prepare tender documents from a client's initial inquiry.
Carry out site surveys prior to design, collating the required information.
Complete ISO‑9001 paperwork relating to projects.
Candidate Profile
LPCB Basic – mandatory.
LPCB intermediate or LPCB FHC – not essential but an advantage.
AutoCAD 2D – essential.
Experience carrying out site surveys, attending client meetings and site installations.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the sprinkler industry.
CSCS card – desirable but not essential.
Strong customer‑care / relationship‑building skills.
Ability to work as a member of a team.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Ability to conduct surveys on site.
Ability to deal directly with customers in a professional manner and represent the company.
UK driving license; the position is primarily office based but involves significant travel.
