Background G&B already has over 3,000 trade accounts nationwide and, following significant investment in the product range, factory, samples and marketing, the trade business is geared for an exciting new chapter. As a national sales & business development professional, you will be a key face of G&B, delivering best‑in‑class service that drives significant growth in sales with both existing and new accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively manage relationships across a portfolio of existing accounts, establishing trust and maximizing G&B’s share of their window‑covering spend.
Seek and convert new business development opportunities, building effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision‑makers.
Qualify sales opportunities across existing and potential accounts, tailoring approach, timing and prioritization.
Maintain and manage your diary to ensure maximum effectiveness of your time, sharing with line management.
Maximize revenue and profit margins from all customer interactions.
Utilize the company management information systems, including the CRM database and other MI tools.
Promote multiple product categories to new and existing customers to enhance cross‑category sales.
Develop business within new markets where possible.
Maximize distribution, revenue and return on investment from all available sampling.
Support the development and delivery of go‑to‑market sales plans for products and services, tailoring approaches to different customer profiles.
Contribute ideas and recommendations for new product development (NPD) opportunities and priorities.
Support the shaping and development of the commercial strategy for the trade business, including planning and budgeting.
Identify, deliver and manage commercial JV partnership opportunities where appropriate.
Attend events and shows where Green & Brown exhibits.
Deliver structured customer feedback and insight on trends, product, quality and service.
Act as a strong and positive brand ambassador for the company.
Provide ongoing support for line management and the wider business leadership team.
Lead by example, setting a standard of excellence and supporting the development of the wider trade team.
Hold weekly 1:1s with line management, producing and presenting weekly and monthly reports as necessary.
Person Specification
3–5 years’ experience within the blinds industry in a similar sales‑related role.
Experience of marquee blinds wholesale is preferable.
Experience with soft fabrics/textiles within the blinds sector is desirable.
Experience with larger commercial customers and tenders is desirable.
Experience and engagement on social media platforms is desirable.
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
Proven self‑starter who works on own initiative and as a team player.
Positive, proactive and professional ‘can‑do’ attitude.
Strong ability to identify potential opportunities, scope solutions and share recommendations with line management and leadership.
Ambition to progress further within a growing company.
Package
Basic salary: £40‑45k (subject to candidate/location)
Commission/bonus: up to 20% of salary paid monthly
Location: covering the UK – minimum 3 days per week on the road, 2 days per month in the office, further days working from home or the office. Initial two weeks of induction and training will be office‑based.
Probation period: 6 months, with monthly checkpoints and a formal 3‑month review.
Expenses: Company car with fuel for work travel covered, accommodation and food allowance when necessary.
Benefits: Company car, events, pension, flexitime, free parking, on‑site parking.

Blinds Industry: 3 years (preferred)
Textile and Fabric: 3 years (preferred)

Pay: £40,000.00‑£50,000.00 per year
