Overview Join our team as a
Sales Development Executive
at
Chester Racecourse . This permanent role based in the heart of Chester focuses on generating new business by developing and maintaining a strong sales pipeline through outbound sales activity, networking opportunities, and proactive engagement.
Responsibilities
Proactively identify and target potential brands/companies.
Generate new business via telephone, email, social media, and face-to-face networking.
Represent the company at events, forums, and client functions.
Demonstrate commercial understanding on how brands activate sponsorship.
Research prospect needs and tailor proposals that deliver measurable outcomes.
Nurture and progress relationships through regular communication and follow-up.
Collaborate with the Commercial Team to grow the pipeline and achieve quarterly revenue targets.
Increase profitability through Hospitality, Sponsorship, and wider commercial sales.
Provide data insights to support lead generation and development activity.
Maintain accurate CRM records (HubSpot preferred) and log all communications.
Prepare and analyse sales pipeline reports for management review.
Essential Requirements
A minimum of 2-3 years professional experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles.
Experience in sponsorship, partnerships, or marketing‑led sales.
Proven ability to identify and engage brands for activation opportunities.
Experience attending networking events and building business relationships.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Desirable Requirements
Experience with HubSpot CRM.
A Business, Marketing, or related degree.

What we offer CRC offers a great selection of benefits, from Race Day tickets to enhanced pension contributions.
Salary £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (plus commission).
Hours of work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. CRC is an event company and may require weekend or evening work; any work beyond the contracted hours will be eligible for time off in lieu. Flexible working hours can be discussed with your line manager.
