À propos

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary design team in the development of power and control systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative product development across a full lifecycle—from concept to delivery—within a well-established engineering firm operating in the power systems and critical infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management
Lead a team of electronics engineers using Agile methods (daily stand-ups, sprint planning).
Develop and communicate design strategies aligned with company and product goals.
Provide mentoring, training plans, and technical guidance to team members.
Present design proposals and solutions to internal stakeholders at project reviews.
Product Design & Development
Design and develop both digital and analog power/control circuits.
Research and implement cutting‑edge electronics and power technologies.
Manage designs from initial schematic and layout through prototyping, verification, and product release.
Develop simulation and modelling of electronic systems using mathematical tools.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards throughout the design process.
Maintain clear documentation and reports in accordance with internal procedures.
New Product Introduction & Lifecycle Support
Translate product requirements into practical engineering solutions while considering commercial constraints.
Coordinate across functions (production, test, procurement) to ensure designs are optimised for manufacturing (DFx).
Manage component selection for performance, cost, and lifecycle (obsolescence planning).
Provide technical support for existing products, troubleshooting hardware/firmware issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders or third‑party vendors.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with R&D partnerships including academic collaborators and innovation centres.
Support software/firmware teams in integrating control algorithms into new product designs.
Interface with subcontractor design teams and third‑party systems as needed.
Deliver training on new products to technical and non‑technical departments.
Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and ensure solutions are future‑proofed.
Key Performance Indicators
Timely delivery of product milestones within scope and budget.
Reduction in design errors and support issues.
Contribution to continuous improvement in quality and process documentation.
Compliance & Quality Standards
ISO 9001 / ISO 14001
RoHS, EMC, WEEE directives
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Electronics, Power Electronics, Embedded Systems or similar.
Proven experience in electronics hardware design, ideally in power systems or control applications.
Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., OrCAD).
Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, function generators, etc.).
