Markel is looking for a vibrant and driven professional to join our dynamic UK marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
Create customer‑centric content such as sales collateral, thought‑leadership posts, web copy, presentations, video scripts, and campaign assets.
Co‑design and implement a compelling content and PR strategy together with the Content Manager and Head of Marketing Services.
Generate timely, creative digital and social media content that reinforces the brand narrative.
Support corporate events with promotion, coverage and post‑event activation.
Drive the editorial content plan, ensuring on‑time delivery, brand consistency and creative quality.
Identify key themes and messages, uncover stories and translate insights into engaging content.
Manage agency relationships to amplify brand visibility and reputation.
Stay abreast of content marketing, digital innovation and industry trends.
Provide insights and updates through monthly monitoring and reporting.
Ensure all content and communications are GDPR compliant.
Required Qualifications
Experience in content, copywriting or communications with a proven track record of engaging storytelling.
Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills with a keen eye for sourcing stories.
Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines within a cross‑functional team.
Exceptional communication skills with clear, impactful messaging.
Experience working with third‑party agencies and suppliers.
Understanding of business objectives to inform the communication strategy.
Marketing qualification (desirable).
