to join their Information Security team.
This is a high-impact role designed for a security engineer capable of tackling complex, multi‑faceted security challenges and independently leading the correction of control postures across the enterprise.
Location Hybrid (Manchester, UK or Warsaw, Poland). Two days a week in‑office required.
Opportunity You will join a dynamic environment, working directly with motivated developers and engineers to assess security risks in their technology choices with minimal friction.
As a senior technical leader, you will move beyond basic oversight to lead the tactical and strategic design of control sets for emerging technologies. This role is perfect for someone who wants to balance deep technical work—like producing PoC attack sequences—with high‑level stakeholder alignment and strategic roadmap execution.
Responsibilities
Strategic Security Design:
Lead the design and implementation of control sets for emerging technologies and review target architecture designs to ensure risks are documented and understood
Offensive Testing & Threat Modelling:
Pragmatically threat model business workflows and produce PoC attack sequences to test the effectiveness of controls.
Workflow Optimization:
Own the continuous optimization of team workflows using agentic technology and scrum tooling to provide assessments more efficiently.
Stakeholder Leadership:
Act as a bridge between technology teams and senior stakeholders, delegating action and ensuring third‑party assessment remediations are enacted.
Governance & Monitoring:
Review security policies and participate in the design of security monitoring use cases.
Qualifications
Cloud & Identity Expertise:
Deep conceptual understanding of AWS and Azure identity platforms, including OIDC, OAuth, and modern access control flows.
Technical Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience building and assessing enterprise systems, supported by strong scripting skills in Python, Go, or PowerShell.
Offensive Security Mindset:
Strong familiarity with adversary tradecraft; prior offensive security experience or certifications are strongly preferred.
AI & Automation Drive:
A proactive approach to using automation and AI to streamline administrative tasks and enhance assessment output.
Communication Skills:
The ability to communicate clearly and diligently with internal stakeholders, moving away from a "blocker" mentality to a collaborative partner approach
