We are a growing, campus-based food trailer specializing in fried chicken and seasoned fries. We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager (Single Unit) to run day-to-day operations, lead staff, and ensure consistent execution as the business launches and stabilizes. This role is designed for someone who wants real responsibility, operational ownership, and a clear path into a General Manager position as the business scales. You will work closely with ownership while operating independently on a daily basis and leading from the front during service.

Responsibilities:
  • Own day-to-day operations of the food trailer during service hours
  • Ensure consistent food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and compliance
  • Lead, supervise, and train staff; set standards and hold team accountable
  • Manage scheduling, labor efficiency, and shift coverage
  • Oversee inventory, prep planning, ordering, and waste control
  • Enforce food safety, health department, and ServSafe requirements
  • Execute opening/closing procedures and daily operational checklists
  • Identify operational issues and implement process improvements
  • Communicate performance, staffing issues, and risks to ownership
What This Role Is Not
  • Not a corporate or multi-unit General Manager role
  • Not an office-only or administrative position
  • Not a passive supervisory role
  • Not responsible for capital allocation or expansion decisions
Growth Path
  • Initial title of Operations Manager (Single Unit)
  • Opportunity to grow into a General Manager role as the business scales
  • Promotion review after 6–12 months of consistent performance
  • Title and compensation adjustment based on operational results
Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
  • Ability to lead and supervise a small team in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working hands-on during service
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Reliable, accountable, and detail-oriented
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain quickly
