Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.
- Transport goods within the warehouse, organizing and stacking them appropriately.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counting, and stock put-away.
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols and utilize required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Read and interpret shipping orders and labels accurately.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Support overall logistics operations and workflow.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift certification and proven experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Commitment to wearing and using PPE correctly.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and balance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with basic logistics principles.
