We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our busy facility in Miami, Florida. This position is key to ensuring that all incoming inventory is accurately documented, inspected, and put away promptly. You will be the first point of contact for many shipments, making accuracy and organization paramount. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Sort and distribute incoming materials to the appropriate departments or storage locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move materials.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical stamina, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
Your role as a Receiving Clerk is fundamental to our logistics operations. Adherence to safety guidelines and proper use of PPE are mandatory for all team members.
