We are seeking a dedicated and organized Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock counts, and ensuring that warehouse operations run smoothly. This role is crucial for managing stock levels, preventing discrepancies, and supporting efficient order fulfillment. You will work closely with the warehouse management to identify and resolve any inventory-related issues, implement process improvements, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our supply chain. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will be key to success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming goods.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or overages.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, including picking, packing, and shipping.
- Adhere to strict Safety guidelines in all warehouse activities.
- Participate in ongoing training related to warehouse operations and Logistics best practices.
- The ability to perform tasks involving Lifting up to 50 lbs will be required occasionally.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or a warehouse environment preferred.
- Proficiency in using WMS software and other inventory management tools.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety procedures.
