Seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to manage incoming inventory at our busy logistics hub in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is critical for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our supply chain. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying incoming goods against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately recording inventory into our system. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks and containers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Verify incoming merchandise against shipping documents and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Operate material handling equipment safely as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control, or a related logistics role is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and commit to safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
