Seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator for our facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your proficiency in operating this specialized equipment will ensure efficient storage and retrieval of goods within our warehouse. This position demands precision, a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume logistics environment. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of operational efficiency and safety. This role requires excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times. You will be trained on our specific procedures and equipment, but prior experience operating similar machinery is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move pallets of goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Put away and retrieve inventory from racking systems.
- Perform pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the system.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and warehouse procedures.
- Properly use all required PPE, including safety vests and hard hats when necessary.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking or packing.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck is essential.
- Valid certification for reach truck operation (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
