We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy distribution center in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is critical to the efficient flow of materials within our warehouse, ensuring that inventory is moved safely and effectively. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your adherence to safety procedures and your operational efficiency will directly impact our logistics operations. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, experienced, and reliable, with a proven track record of safe forklift operation. Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move pallets, loads, and materials.
- Loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Moving materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Performing routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Ensuring all safety regulations and company policies are followed.
- Accurately documenting all movements and tasks in the warehouse management system.
- Assisting with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Wearing appropriate PPE , including hard hats and safety vests.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical dexterity and moderate lifting when necessary.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts as needed.
