This position is vital for ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and processed efficiently. You will be responsible for verifying delivery contents against purchase orders, identifying damages, and properly documenting all incoming inventory. A strong understanding of logistics and inventory management is beneficial. Safety is a top priority, and you will be trained on and expected to follow all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE. This role may involve some lifting and requires attention to detail. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and products.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Accurately enter received goods into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage incoming inventory for distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or inventory control.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may include lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and PPE.
