We are seeking a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for accurately accepting, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments. This role is crucial to ensuring the integrity of our inventory and the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will work closely with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to incoming goods. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Daily tasks will include unloading trucks, verifying packing slips against purchase orders, identifying damaged goods, and properly staging items for put-away or further processing. - Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Document all received items accurately in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Stage received goods for internal distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
