We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators for our busy warehouse facility in San Jose, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and supporting the overall logistics flow of our operations. If you are a skilled operator with a strong commitment to safety, we want you on our team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas accurately and safely.
- Perform routine checks on forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and location verification.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and traffic rules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Support the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift operating experience.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 70 pounds when necessary.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with different types of forklifts and their operation.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by strictly following all safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE.
