We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our expanding logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout our warehouse. Your duties will encompass receiving, organizing, and distributing various types of materials, supporting both production and shipping departments. The ideal candidate is physically capable, organized, and has a strong understanding of workplace Safety protocols. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the logistics industry and become a vital part of our operations. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and sort incoming materials accurately.
- Move materials to designated storage areas or work stations using pallet jacks and other equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Safety guidelines.
- Properly use and wear required PPE, such as safety vests and footwear.
- Report any damaged materials or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
- Follow all company procedures related to material handling and logistics.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Participate in team efforts to improve efficiency and workflow.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred but not required. Ability to perform consistent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. A strong commitment to Safety and following instructions is crucial. Basic understanding of logistics operations is beneficial. Willingness to work flexible hours and wear designated PPE.
