We are actively recruiting Picker/Packers for our busy distribution center in Detroit, Michigan. This critical role supports our logistics network by ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your responsibilities will include navigating the warehouse to locate specified items, meticulously verifying product codes and quantities, and then carefully packing them for safe transit. We maintain a strong focus on workplace safety; therefore, adherence to all safety guidelines and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is paramount. This position involves regular physical activity, including significant lifting. We are seeking individuals who are highly organized, possess excellent attention to detail, and are reliable. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items according to order specifications.
- Check product identifiers and quantities for accuracy.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product protection.
- Label and stage orders for shipment.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock organization.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar picking/packing or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with basic logistics concepts.
- Reliability and a commitment to punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
