Join our dedicated team in Washington, D.C. as an Order Picker! We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual to accurately fulfill customer orders within our warehouse. This is a crucial role in our logistics chain, ensuring that products are picked, verified, and staged for timely delivery. You will utilize scanning technology to locate items and maintain organized pick paths. A strong emphasis on Safety and adherence to operational procedures is required. - Accurately pick items from designated locations in the warehouse using a handheld scanner.
- Verify order accuracy by checking item numbers and quantities.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Replenish inventory in picking locations as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all required PPE guidelines.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervision.
- Assist with inventory counts as required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of logistics operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an order picking or warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Commitment to wearing and maintaining PPE.
