*SLP JOB DESCRIPTION*
Provide speech-language therapy services and implement treatment for individuals who have a variety of communication impairments, including but not limited to articulation, fluency, language, and pragmatic.
*ESSENTIAL SLP FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Write and maintain proper documentation of student evaluation in a timely fashion
* Work in accordance with applicable principles and scope of practice of an SLP, Ridge Zeller Therapy policies/procedures, and Arizona/federal regulations/guidelines
* Manage time effectively to complete paperwork within the required timelines
* Demonstrate a team-oriented approach
* Exhibit professional and friendly interaction with students, families, and colleagues
* Collaborate and be flexible when working with colleagues and families
* Represent Ridge Zeller Therapy in the highest professional manner whenever working within the school
* Administer formal and informal assessments
* Analyze and interpret evaluation information to make recommendations regarding the need for speech-language therapy services.
* Maintain records of the speech-language therapy program and prepare periodic reports as required (e.g., progress reports, treatment notes, etc).
* Adhere to established rules, regulations, laws, and appropriate ethical standards
* Supervise graduate interns, Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) , students, and other professionals (as appropriate)
* Provide individualized treatment to improve communication skills
* Attend meetings, such as Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings, Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) meetings, special education meetings, and parent-teacher conferences
* Develop appropriate IEP presents levels of performance and goals based on students’ strengths and needs
