We are actively recruiting for a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Kansas City, Missouri. This critical role ensures the smooth flow of goods into and out of our facility, contributing significantly to our supply chain and logistics operations. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for managing incoming deliveries, inspecting goods, processing outgoing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will work collaboratively with team members and external partners to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all shipping and receiving activities. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify delivery contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, including documentation and labeling.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving areas to ensure cleanliness and order.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and Safety regulations.
- Ensure the proper use of PPE at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required, involving moderate Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Demonstrated ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to upholding Safety standards in the workplace.
- Capacity for physical tasks, including regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication skills.
