We are looking for a diligent Order Picker to join our busy distribution center in Chicago, Illinois. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain our high standards of service within the logistics framework. This role requires individuals who are motivated, organized, and committed to workplace Safety. You will be working with a variety of products and using equipment to navigate the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
- Use RF scanners and other technology to track inventory and order progress.
- Ensure picked items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support the logistics team.
- Follow safe Lifting practices when handling products of varying sizes and weights.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Proficiency with RF scanning technology.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capacity for moderate Lifting, up to 35 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
