Seeking dedicated Picker/Packers to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C.! This role is integral to ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment for our valued customers. You will be responsible for efficiently picking items from our warehouse stock, meticulously packing them for shipment, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Retrieve specific items from warehouse locations as per order details.
- Inspect goods for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Package items efficiently and accurately, preparing them for shipment.
- Apply shipping labels and necessary documentation to outbound orders.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your workstation and general warehouse areas.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed established productivity standards for picking and packing.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment as directed.
- Report any damages, discrepancies, or safety concerns to supervisory staff.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse, order picking, or packing role is highly desirable.
- Ability to accurately interpret order forms and product codes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements for extended shifts.
- Willingness and ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Proactive approach to safety and adherence to all company policies.
