We are seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our bustling distribution center in Madison, Wisconsin. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in our warehouse. You'll play a key part in our logistics chain, ensuring materials are stored correctly and readily available for order fulfillment. You will be instrumental in optimizing our warehouse space and ensuring the smooth movement of inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Safely stack and unstack merchandise at various heights.
- Assist with inventory management by accurately locating and retrieving items.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working order.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, free from obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in training sessions and adhere to guidelines regarding Lifting and material handling.
- Ensure proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support overall warehouse operations and team goals.
Qualifications:
Certified and experienced Reach Truck Operator. Proven ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely. Experience in a fast-paced logistics environment. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must be able to perform regular Lifting tasks. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Reliability and a strong work ethic are paramount.
