We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our busy distribution center in Orlando, Florida. This position is fundamental to our daily logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods. Your duties will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials within the warehouse, and assist in inventory management. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and you will be required to adhere to all company safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE. The role involves significant physical activity, including regular lifting of materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move pallets, crates, and other materials.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers.
- Safely transport goods to and from storage areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use necessary PPE.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience operating forklifts.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a logistics or distribution setting is advantageous.
