We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Associate to join our logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is fundamental to our daily warehouse operations, involving the handling, storage, and preparation of goods for shipment. The Warehouse Associate will perform a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. We are looking for reliable and energetic individuals committed to accuracy and safety. You will work in a team-oriented environment and must adhere to all established procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position is an excellent entry point into the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately store incoming inventory.
- Pick and pack orders efficiently and accurately based on order tickets.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow instructions for order fulfillment and logistics processes.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving regular lifting and physical labor.
- Contribute to team goals and overall warehouse productivity.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or operational issues.
