Our logistics team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity and safety of our warehouse. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and other machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of safety procedures. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe working environment for all staff, including proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (forklifts, conveyors, palletizers, etc.).
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and the warehouse environment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, including proper lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ensure all personnel are using appropriate PPE.
- Assist with installation and setup of new equipment.
- Support logistics operations by minimizing equipment downtime.
- Must be comfortable with tasks involving lifting and working in various warehouse conditions.
- Respond to repair requests promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop and tool area.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards is essential.
