As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our distribution center. This role is critical to maintaining operational flow, supporting inventory management, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will operate various types of forklifts, perform pre-operation checks, and adhere to strict safety protocols. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to a safe work environment. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus. - Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and unstack merchandise.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the system.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock placement.
- Ensure the warehouse floor is clear of obstructions and hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Follow proper Lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to achieve operational goals.
