Join our fast-paced receiving team as a Receiving Clerk in Los Angeles, California. This critical role involves managing the flow of incoming goods into our distribution center. You will be responsible for accurately processing all inbound shipments, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained correctly and that any discrepancies or damages are immediately identified and reported. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to Safety are paramount. We provide necessary PPE and expect all employees to adhere to our safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies against shipping documents.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received merchandise for put-away.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Follow all company Safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
- Support other warehouse logistics functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse receiving role is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform moderate physical work, including Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards.
