We are hiring a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing orders are accurately prepared, documented, and dispatched. Your duties will include coordinating with carriers, verifying shipment contents, generating shipping labels, and maintaining shipment records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills. This role is critical to our supply chain, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Responsibilities:
- Prepare outgoing shipments by verifying order contents against packing lists.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation accurately using shipping software.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Ensure packages are properly labeled and ready for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking information.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use and wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Assist with loading trucks as needed.
- Contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient shipping area.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role is highly desirable. Ability to perform tasks involving moderate physical activity, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 pounds. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer applications. A strong commitment to workplace Safety and attention to detail is essential. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to wear provided PPE.
