We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in San Diego, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move materials within our warehouse and distribution center. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining a productive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload pallets and other materials from trucks and onto racks.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any issues or needed repairs.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety standards.
- Ensure proper use of PPE, including safety vests and steel-toed boots.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Report any unsafe conditions or practices immediately.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. High school diploma or GED. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. A strong commitment to Safety is mandatory. Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations is essential. Must be able to wear provided PPE, including safety footwear and high-visibility clothing.
