Our Distribution Center in Huntsville, Alabama is looking for a motivated Distribution Center Associate. This role is critical to the efficient flow of goods through our facility. You will perform a wide range of tasks, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products, ensuring accuracy and maintaining high standards of Safety and operational excellence within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated areas of the distribution center.
- Pick and pack customer orders, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and proficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Strictly adhere to all Safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, requiring significant manual Lifting.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational targets and deadlines.
- Contribute to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
Experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is a strong asset. Must be able to work effectively in a team and independently. This position involves frequent Lifting of items up to 60 lbs. A robust understanding of warehouse Safety practices and the mandatory use of PPE are crucial. This role offers a great career path in logistics.
