We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics operation in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As an Order Picker, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. This role involves navigating our warehouse to locate and retrieve specific items, verify quantities, and prepare them for shipment. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, which includes strict adherence to safety regulations and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work at a consistent pace, and comfort with physical tasks, including frequent lifting. Previous experience in order picking or a similar warehouse role is highly valued. You will utilize various tools and systems to optimize your picking process, contributing directly to our logistics efficiency. Accuracy is paramount. Responsibilities include:
- Accurately identifying and retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or digital systems.
- Verifying the correctness of items and quantities before moving them to the staging area.
- Operating order picking equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Transporting picked items to designated packing or shipping stations.
- Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all orders picked.
- Maintaining an organized and clean work area within the warehouse.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Reporting any inventory discrepancies or damages encountered during picking.
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall logistics flow.
- Meeting established productivity and accuracy standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a comparable warehouse role.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift.
- Capacity for frequent lifting, with items typically weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse technology, such as RF scanners.
- Understanding of general warehouse safety practices.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic within the logistics field.
