Join our growing team as a Warehouse Technician in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our distribution center. This position demands a proactive individual with a strong understanding of warehouse processes and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on various warehouse equipment, including conveyors, forklifts, and other material handling machinery. Additionally, you will assist in managing the flow of goods, ensuring that all operations adhere to safety regulations and company standards. Your technical aptitude and problem-solving skills will be essential in minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity. This role is key to our Logistics operations and ensures we meet our supply chain demands.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning machinery.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain logs of maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist in the efficient flow of goods through the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and guidelines.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed, using appropriate PPE .
- Identify and report potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Support the receiving, stocking, and shipping departments.
- This position may require frequent Lifting of items up to 70 pounds.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a warehouse technician or in a similar maintenance role. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of warehouse equipment and material handling systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must possess valid certifications for operating specific equipment. Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength and stamina.
