We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our dynamic warehouse operations in Durham, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials within the warehouse, ensuring smooth logistics flow and accurate inventory management. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, experienced, and possesses a valid forklift certification.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and stack materials.
- Inspect equipment daily to ensure it is in safe and working condition, reporting any issues.
- Move goods from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Assist in picking and packing orders as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE .
- Follow instructions from supervisors and support the overall logistics team.
- Participate in inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock records.
- Understand and follow loading and unloading procedures to ensure efficiency and safety .
- Operate equipment safely to prevent damage to products and property.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to regulations.
- Must be able to wear required PPE , such as safety shoes and reflective vests.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
