We are hiring motivated Picker/Packers for our busy warehouse in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. This position is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate and timely order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from shelves according to order sheets using RF scanners.
- Pack items carefully and securely for shipping, ensuring product integrity.
- Verify product information against order details to prevent errors.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your assigned work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety guidelines and actively participate in maintaining a safe workplace.
- Properly use all required PPE , such as gloves, safety shoes, and vests.
- Meet or exceed productivity targets while maintaining high quality standards.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed, including cycle counts.
- Understand and follow instructions related to handling various types of goods.
- Support the efficiency of the logistics team by performing duties diligently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Willingness to follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE .
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to completing tasks and contributing to team success.
