Are you a natural leader with a passion for warehouse operations? We are looking for a motivated Warehouse Supervisor to manage our busy facility in Tampa, Florida. As a Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and order fulfillment. Your primary goal will be to ensure efficiency, productivity, and a safe working environment for your team. This role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to excellence in logistics. You will be instrumental in driving operational improvements and fostering a positive team culture.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.
- Manage receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize workflow and efficiency in the logistics process.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety and proper use of PPE.
- Train and mentor new employees, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Operate equipment, including forklifts, as needed and ensure their proper maintenance.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or conflicts that arise on the floor.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse performance.
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics best practices.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
