Job Summary:
Our Orlando, Florida facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to enhance our inventory management processes. This critical role focuses on maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and availability of our inventory. You will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, analyzing inventory data, and identifying areas for improvement. Your expertise will help minimize shrinkage, reduce carrying costs, and optimize stock levels to meet demand. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse **logistics**. You will work closely with operations and procurement teams to forecast needs and ensure optimal stock rotation. Adherence to all **safety** regulations, including the correct use of **PPE**, is paramount. While not primarily a **lifting** role, occasional assistance with moving inventory may be required. We are looking for a proactive individual who can drive improvements and maintain a highly organized inventory system. Your strategic insights will be invaluable to our operational efficiency and profitability. Be a key player in our **logistics** chain by ensuring flawless inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control within the distribution center.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories, analyzing results.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend adjustments.
  • Optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs and prevent stockouts.
  • Implement and manage inventory control systems and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with all **safety** standards and **PPE** requirements.
  • Collaborate with **logistics**, procurement, and operations teams to align inventory strategies.
  • Assist with **lifting** or moving inventory as needed during audits or special projects.
  • Report on inventory accuracy, turnover rates, and other key performance indicators.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and **logistics** best practices.
  • Proficiency in WMS and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to train and guide others on inventory procedures.
  • Knowledge of **safety** regulations and **PPE** usage.
  • Ability to perform moderate **lifting** tasks (up to 25 lbs) occasionally.
