We are actively recruiting experienced Forklift Operators for our busy Milwaukee, Wisconsin distribution center. This role is central to our logistics operations, requiring the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. You will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, transporting goods to and from storage, and preparing items for dispatch. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and candidates must be committed to following all protocols, including the use of required PPE. Ideal candidates possess a solid understanding of warehouse operations and a proven track record of safe forklift operation. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and timely processing of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any necessary maintenance.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse functions as needed.
- Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall logistics process.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Reliability and a commitment to safety.
