We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Omaha, Nebraska. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing staff, and ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all logistics activities. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining high productivity levels, optimizing workflow, and fostering a positive team environment. Key responsibilities include scheduling and assigning tasks, training and mentoring warehouse associates, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes. You should be comfortable with occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds and be able to direct and support your team in physically demanding tasks. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse team.
- Ensure efficient workflow for receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Train, motivate, and manage warehouse staff performance.
- Implement and enforce all safety procedures and policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Oversee inventory management and conduct regular audits.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Manage warehouse equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory control.
- Commitment to workplace safety and ensuring adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
