We are looking for energetic and precise Picker/Packers to join our busy distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from our warehouse stock and preparing them for shipment, playing a vital role in our logistics chain. This role requires a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using order lists or RF scanning devices.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items, quantities, and product details.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Transport picked and packed orders to the designated shipping areas.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring clear aisles and proper stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks for moving inventory.
- Follow specific packing instructions to meet customer and company standards.
- Report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to supervision.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Utilize safe lifting techniques to manage order fulfillment effectively.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the logistics process.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily fulfillment goals.
- Uphold a high standard of performance and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets and product information.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse safety principles.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
