We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy Philadelphia, Pennsylvania warehouse. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other heavy machinery to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise ensures the smooth flow of goods throughout our facility, contributing significantly to our overall logistics and inventory management. Maintaining a safe working environment is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse storage.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials throughout the facility.
- Accurately record all movements of goods within the inventory system.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues immediately.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and stocking as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all company logistics and operational guidelines.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid forklift operator certification. Proven experience as a forklift operator. Ability to perform tasks that may involve moderate Lifting. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics. A steadfast commitment to workplace Safety. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must comply with all PPE requirements.
