This key position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through diligent monitoring, counting, and discrepancy resolution. You will be instrumental in maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing waste, and enhancing operational efficiency. This role offers a significant opportunity to grow within the logistics industry. Responsibilities:
- Conduct frequent cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies by investigating root causes.
- Maintain the accuracy of inventory data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor inventory levels, identify aging stock, and report potential obsolescence.
- Develop and enforce procedures to prevent inventory shrinkage and damage.
- Analyze inventory reports to identify patterns and recommend optimization strategies.
- Oversee the organization and condition of inventory within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and picking teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Assist in the validation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Must be capable of light lifting, up to 25 lbs.
- Strict adherence to all safety protocols and the mandatory use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework in inventory management is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory control or a related warehouse function.
- Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Understanding of general logistics and supply chain operations.
- Dedication to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
